I tried to give this game a chance, but I encountered multiple game breaking bugs and had to even restart the game multiple times.

I dont know if I missed the tutorial, but after 5 minutes of messing around I was able to figure out the controls and buttons. Gameplay was not an issue, the game looks great on high settings, and the mechanics feel okay.

My issue is that no matter how much I tried, even manually when I could visibly see a Uboat on the surface, I could not get my own radio operator to spot anything. Obviously this made attacking anything that went to depth almost impossible, but I did manage to get a hit.

As for the bugs, You are supposed to move around using the rudder manually on the bridge, or you can click the compass on the left of the screen and move to a bearing. Sometimes, especially after saving, the compass would have 3 black squares in place of the number and you would no longer be able to click a direction to move, making you have to do it manually which is not very precise, especially when you cant tell your guns to auto attack and need to shoot them manually, and need to use your lookouts or an external view to make sure you depth charge in time. It made it unplayable. Additionally, upon reloading, the depth charge menu broke, making it so I couldn't use depth charges anymore.. you know.. the only thing you can use against subs under water..

I would highly HIGHLY recommend passing on this game. From the looks of other comments, the developers abandoned this game too, so don't expect any new content, or any bug fixes. There are probably a lot more bugs I did not encounter, and when a game has a report bugs button on the main menu, 9 times out of 10 it has a ton of issues, not just one or two..

Solid game/sim. I love the attention to historically accurate sensor displays and ship models. Practice several battles prior to starting in career mode due to how hectic the combat can get. This game can be overwhelming but practice will help. o7
