I think it's unfortunate that it is not possible to beat this game without grinding some attributes.
So, yeah, that's what you gotta do. What I did was: Get the condoms for less than 20 bucks, then sell them at 80 or higher. Then buy a bunch of that epic tome and get mostly just attack increases.
I even ended up getting 300 condoms and selling 95% of it. There's no need to go that far, unless you really want to make everything very easy.

Aye, Cornelia is rather difficult even with the highest stats due to the only way to damage her is either defusing the Holy Grenade of Antioch or using Strike.

My advice is to equip yourself with Stun & Hammer. Apply Stun whenever possible to increase the duration required to defuse the grenade, and use Hammer to crack the gem; using Hammer does not count as a "turn".

Also, plan your steps and make sure to leave at least 1 Mana Crystal in the field whenever possible.

Thanks for the advice, I finally managed to beat her thus beating the game. I used a similar strategy as the one you suggest, stun to get an extra turn but instead of hammering gems I used the rearrange ability to increase the combo chances, worked out pretty well. Happy Holidays!
