DO NOT BUY its almost 2 years behind in updates dont bother with this version i wish devs would actually give a ♥♥♥♥ about pcvr

The game is solid.
Everything is great.
2 cons though...
1. no cross play so the multiplayer is dead always.
2. no discounts for owners of the original on meta.
Final Score, 7 out of 10. Would be 9 if i could join others in meta while on steamvr

This is a mixed one for now. Not positive not negative. (hope to change after updates).
Although i really am enjoying the game it is not the same as on quest 3. Most importedly the steam version is behind on the meta version. Also leaderboards are not working and there was/ Is a winterevent on meta which is not on steam. This raises some flags.
It is a very solid game/ experience and i will be enjoying it further, but had i known that it is different and behind on the meta version i would not have purchased it with all the dlc.

The positive:
The game runs great I have to say. I run a rtx 3090 and have the resolution in meta link all the way up with a 200% supersampling in steamvr. This results in a really clear and pretty environment. At these resolutions there is however some sort of dome visible in the sky. I see it when i look straight up. Maybe from the camera which filmed the location? I do really enjoy the game and it is relaxing to play.

Amazing game love to throw on a podcast or two and fish. Feels and plays great on the Quest 3

It's fishing, in VR. The fishing mechanics are pretty well-done, and there's a sense of progression in that you have to upgrade your rods and reels (and you'll have several different ones, depending on where and how you want to fish). There are multiple options to customize how you want to play - you can turn on/off the ability to see where fish are (on the highest difficulty you can still see visual clues such as bubbles or ripples on the surface), and you can even toggle on/off being able to see your bait/lure in the water, or color-coded fishing line to tell you if you're about to snap your line. It has fish-fighting mechanics as well for the bigger, tougher fish, and wearing them out is pretty intuitive.

There's a world map that'll let you fish in several places around the world, and at each of those places, there are LOADS of individual options for exactly where you want to fish, and they're all gorgeous. Lakes, rivers, beaches, and even the ocean. There's both fresh and salt water fishing available, and even some "quests" or scenarios for you to play through and nab some unique catches.

Probably the neatest part is the aquarium. Each time you choose to "keep" a fish (as opposed to throwing it back) you can then go back to your fishing lodge and put them in a big fish tank with some limited customization. It's pretty cool to be able to sit and watch the things I've caught.

Easily one of the best VR titles I've tried.

love the game wish it was like fishing planet but vr but it still good and fun
