Need for Speed™ Rivals

Need for Speed™ Rivals

Is this game like Most Wanted (2012)?
As a Burnout player, I really enjoyed Most Wanted (2012). It had brake to drift, boost gained from driving into oncoming lanes as well as takedowns. So I was wondering if Rivals has all of these things too.

Yep, it still had those, with some differences:
• Dangerous driving only applies to racers. Police will gain nitrous by simply driving fast. Full bottle rewarded for wrecking a police, or busting a racer,
• Takedowns do not offer any reward, apart from potentially overtaking a racer, or a free park bust.
• SpeedPoints are the game's currency, which can be used to go shopping.
• Police have three variants to choose from, each tailored to have a specific strength. The variant that will unlock will depend on the type of Assignment completed.

Rivals is more like Hot Pursuit combined with Most Wanted (2012)'s formula, that's my opinion of course

I've played Hot Pursuit (2010) as well. Sounds like an interesting combo.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thanks, I'll keep all of this in mind. I got Rivals, just before the sale ended.

Hope you'll have fun, just a side disclaimer that the cops in this game are incredibly brutal; only silver lining is that you can enter your hideout easily while having a high heat level.

Early game:
• set AllDrive to singleplayer.
• prioritize durability upgrades.
• just avoid high heat levels in the meantime.
