As we said in a previous response, we'll look into this some more for the next update.
At the moment we think it's related to some difference in the configuration since we can't reproduce any collision registering issues on our hardware/drivers/configs, but we'll investigate more.
If the response is good in the lobby but not in game I suspect it might be related to some performance issues since the menu is much less complex to render in comparison to the stages. Could you try reducing your steamvr/virtual desktop/airlink render resolution to see if the situation improves?
You could have SteamVR supersampling stacked over Meta's, or other drivers depending from your device, but there's even a resolution slider in the game's settings menu, so you could even try to just lower that below 1X.
In the next update we'll attempt some more optimizations and we would also like to have quality presets to have a major impact on the performance. At the moment, even putting the slider to the minimum, you'll have very few graphical changes and just minor performance benefits from lowering the quality, we would like to make scale better.
