Changing FPS etc
After installation go to:

C:\users\youruser\AppData\Roaming\Piko Interactive\Gloveropen config.ini

To find the AppData folder you must allow to view hidden files.

With a word editor

On Framerate you can change to the following settings:
0 = Like N64 (most stable and recommended)
1 = Always 30 (slight graphic wonkyness we still plan to adjust/fix)
2 = Always 60 (more graphic/physics wonkyness)

There may or may not be goodies on the directory files. I've said too much...

PSone version added, it is the second launch option on the play pop up menu. For some reason Steam has not identified each launch option with its description lately. Opened up a ticket for it.

Enjoy

What about anything over 60 as an extreme option to see how it goes wild? If possible.
Piko Interactive  [開發人員] 2022 年 4 月 20 日 上午 5:37
That would be a meme fest and it was available in a build. But locking up to 60fps (don't even remember what was exactly) made 30fps more stable.

As we go hopefully we can have both thing meme fps and stable 30fps

Suggest making this a sticky / pinned so newcomers can find it.

Recommended/most stable option = 0 is 20fps?* What was the point of hiring a dev and "porting it from the ground up" if they haven't completely fixed the framerate before release?

What is the difference between this version and running it on an emulator?

This shouldn't be taken as a serious hit, since some engines rely more on the FPS than the physics engine itself, you can look at MGSV as a good example of using FPS instead of the engine working to calculate it.

I tried to find the folder and I couldn't find it. I went to the exact same directory that was shown and it wasn't there. I then used the file explorer search bar to see if my computer had installed it somewhere else and my computer couldn't find it. I even searched for the file directly and the file explorer said the file didn't exist. Did I do something wrong? I'm using a Windows 11 computer. I didn't mess with any settings, I just installed the game and went to try to optimize settings. Any Help to solve the problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

From the sound of things, just based on this topic, I'm gonna guess that Glover (like many games from this era) based physics and timings off its framerate rather than objective global timers of any kind.

The unfortunate effect of this is that these glitches are more or less baked into the very source of the game, and would take a very substantial amount of re-coding to fix.

Still, props to the dev team for including the option regardless! Less sure about resolution options, but hopefully that's something that can be added if they aren't already!

Ergg I dont have Windows 11. But you need to go to your user folder in the C hard drive. There find your user name/owner folder from there find Appdata. If you don't see appdata, you need to change settings to see hidden folders/files

see this tutorial:

I'm aware of what I'm supposed to do and I can access both the Appdata and the Roaming folder just fine, but what I'm saying is for some reason, the Piko Interactive folder that I'm looking for isn't there. I don't know why this happened.

Anyone try the game at 30fps. how does it fair?
Cyrus The Enlightened 2022 年 4 月 20 日 上午 7:11
Update on the missing folder: Just wanted to mention that I fixed it. I simply uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the folder and all of its files are there now. Apparently the folder didn't download and install the first time around for some reason, but I'm all good now.
