only major thing I don't like is the heavily accelerating fall, sometimes there's no way to see what's coming and you're moving too fast to realistically do anything about it unless you've encountered that layout before AND recognize it ahead of time.
the heirloom challenges and bosses are hard (esp the latter) but they're still doable even for someone like me with 0 reflexes. maybe the first boss needs to be toned down a little, or they could introduce a boss rush mode where you can practice fighting bosses you've encountered (but not limited just to those you defeated, otherwise there's no point).
edit: actually the armor system sucks big time too, def needs some changes.
@Johnny you can now use the right stick to look below which makes falling less annoying. But you can still fall between rooms and land on an enemy which is cheap and frustrating
I don't know about the armor system but there are runes that make you recharge your armor with mana potions.
Also i disagree with the toning down of the first boss.
Also more updates means more upgrades available.
Right now everything like rune weight seems to be on a leash.
Just wait it out for now.
Eventually trainers will exist to speed up the grind, but at least on a first playthrough i'd advice against it unless you're completely not not enjoying yourself.
Otherwise go nuts.
That said I actually find grinding up in this game is EASIER then it was in RL1.
RL1 didn't have class masteries
RL1 didn't have gear upgrades
It was harder to increase your rune/gear weight in RL1 than it is in RL2
and frankly I feel RL2 has a FASTER upgrade path than RL1 (now that they have added biome 2 and 3)
Add to the fact that we only have three biomes right now, and I can see this game being FAR easier then RL1 was...
Learn how to play the game or live forever with your skill issue.
Git gut as you please if you think you need to grind anything to beat those easy bosses.
Whats next? You are gonna tell me that I need to level up to beat From Soft games? lmao
The thread was over 4 years old. The game was still in Early Access, being fully released in 2022. Don't necro such discussions.
