Nope only one solution and this is ignoring all the times your forced to loop for very dumb reasons.
also on another hand if you decide to play with online on, whether you are to be the raider or raided, just note that lag my get you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deaths, or possibly even kills, but when the internet is steady, and youre not fighting a braindead player its a bit fun
That said, its still a little fun - much more combat focused than Arkane's other games - you're encouraged to go in guns blazing.
There is a lot of freedom in this game to explore and create your own solutions using the tools available, and you can sort of be your own "Colt" who goes about things in your own unique way. You definitely can go in guns blazing, but I disagree you're encouraged to do so. It can be quite fun to use turrets and stuff to be stealthy, especially when there's a hostile Julianna on the map to outsmart.
I do agree the game is a bit handholdy and so what I do is turn off the objective markers immediately. This actually makes it a bit opaque what to do! Which is not necessarily better. But I prefer it and because I feel llke I am more in control and I'm less tunnel-visioned on the narrow objectives.
More importantly, there's a ton of side stuff in the game that you'll only find if you go off the beaten path. The game's markers only tell you literally the main thing to do, which is a bit of a puzzle. If you turn that off, then everything has the same priority to your eyes, and you'll stumble across plenty of weird, surprising, organic mysteries that you'll be intrigued to figure out on your own.
I don't think I've ever had lag from being raided. I'm gonna say that's false. Julianna can have nasty lag on PC, which is too bad because it's quite a fun mode. Colt doesn't have lag due to a laggy Julianna.
To summarize for those who have not played, the person being raided is local so they don't have lag. You will not have lag just from turning on raids and playing singleplayer outside of that. On the other hand, if you are the RAIDER and invading other people's games, you will probably experience a decent amount of lag.
(EDIT: Btw, the multiplayer component of this game is so good when it works. It's a huge thrill to have an assassin stalking you on a map, and it's fun to be the invader as well. Sadly, sometimes the invader has bad lag and it ruins the fun.)
I think they tried to make a game that is more fun. It is like a 60's spy move, top to bottom, so yeah maybe more shallow, but there is still a lot of story, and a lot to discover. You can get inside the character's heads. So, fun.
I haven't had much trouble on PC, though it does seem hit or miss. I am not running top end hardware, but well within the requirements, and the game runs fine at high settings for hours - until I quit. Other people with higher end PCs run into memory problems that I have not encountered, that you would think I would using lower specs. That is a challenge with gaming PCs one combination of hardware works great for a game and another does not. For example I can run Deathloop fine, I could not get Dark Messiah to run no matter what I tried, and it is a old game. That is one area where I think consoles rule, the std hardware makes things very predictable.
OP - If you give Deathloop a try, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Cheers.
