Game seems to be the most active in the evenings for UTC timezone, and Normal/Hard difficulty levels are probably the most occupied ones amongst them all.
I would give it a shot, but be warned, it's not as casual-friendly as KF2, and co-op actually makes a difference. Also wait for a discount, it's not worth full price IMO, when you can get the same content for a lower price by 80%.

As already correctly noted in post #1, the game is not as casual as the second part and co-op matters. Well, it is also worth buying this game at a discount.
Of course, you are obviously limited to have an opinion (that is shared by many) on what you have seen by yourself, in your very own gameplay. Totally no doubt.
Then you have the lame people who join at the 8th wave because they are lazy and want quick achivements.
