What worked for me on Windows 10, assuming this can be done on Windows 11, is plugging in a controller when launching the game. The game will black screen and send you to the desktop screen but in your taskbar will be the game running. Hovering over the game will show a black screen, but by selecting and hitting buttons, we will be able to send inputs within those frames that will be loading within the black screen. Now here comes the patience. Every time you hover our the GMA wonderlands application in the taskbar it will give you a preview of the current frame in the game. The main goal is to use the controller inputs after selecting the application to move through the game menu slowly to bring us to the settings and change the resolution and the full screen to windowed. This allowed the game to than load properly and I haven't had an issue since. The combo for getting to the full screen setting option in the settings screen is left on DPAD 3 times. UP on DPAD. right on DPAD, down on DPAD 4 times, A to select. These visual changes will be shown on every preview when hovering over the GMA wonderlands application on the taskbar. Take your time, once i was able to select fullscreen to windowed fullscreen I was up and running. I hope this helps folks get around the black screen and not being able to load into this game with their current setups.
