There have been threads of people jumping to and back two PCs and getting their whole data deleted
Try checking cloud integrity of ER through Steam for Elden RIng, but don't boot it up
Then look on your new rig if it has been updated correctly.
I did that unfortunately and the save was the same on my laptop. Before that though I went to my local save folder and backed up the save files. How would I go about checking the cloud integrity for ER on steam?
I just uncheck the cloud save, boot and exit, check cloud back on and then boot again to save current data
Though if you now have both saves as the same rollbacked one, I fear that the cloud has been overwritten already.
If you have the correct data still on the laptop try to uncheck cloud and save it locally before going with the Cloud route just to be safe, but yeah after that checking back and booting should do a cloud save.
