Radahn's attack
So in the second phase, he throws slow moving disc and then do his shadow attack; while both attacks are still active he does his 5 hit sword combo with falling lights. HOW THE HECK ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DODGE THIS??

You don't. You are supposed to block it. Even with a banished knight shield, you will get a stance break on probably last hit. Don't try to dodge his speed-of-light moves when you are hit by a previous attack like rocks, you will probably die if your reaction is not millisecond-perfect

If you are serious, this is bad advice unless you are implying that everyone should respect to use a shield. A magic user will not be able to block this attack and a dex user will not be able to block the whole combo either. They make bosses that are always anti builds so it doesn't matter your build you will run into a boss that is difficult for you but easy for others. This boss fight is like Malenia in that you do have to be able to dodge perfectly some attacks until cheese strats are discovered. For example, you can bait and out run the sword dance and then you have a window that she can't use it so you can time it and only attack in those windows. I'm stuck on this boss right now as well but there are small tricks that i'm learning, such as it is better to stick next to him when he does gravity attacks ( the one that sucks you in and aoes). So my advice would be to go into the fight not planning on winning but focusing on one specific attack and trying different things (dodge right, left, back, jump, etc.) until you notice something is working better than the other options. That would be if you want to learn the fight yourself or you can save time and watch others fight him and note the same thing. I haven't watched any videos but I'm also wondering if there is some gimmick to the fight that I haven't discovered, something similar to the tear needed for Mogh to reduce this Tres damage but who knows.
Just run straight away from him while mounted and jump over the aoe wave, then you can get some hits in. Hope that helps.

I honestly blocked most of Radahn's attacks using Banished shield+25 + GS talisman + Grease. You get stance broken yes, but truth is, with fast enough stamina regen you can block his next move too since most are delayed, and by that time his combo ends. Banished Knight shield requires like 15 strength and every build has or can have that. Ofc Fingerprint or Haligtree are king but they require str. This boss is not like Malenia, he is easier in that regard. Malenia can't be blocked at all unless you can somehow outdps her heals. Radahn has some moves where blocking is pretty much required unless you have every roll timing in your head. Only move you can't (and shouldn't, lol) block is the meteor, when he jumps offscreen just like run away to the opposite border of arena and you are gold

no gimmick in this fight.
just a giant barbarian war god at light speed...
so yes the shield is a good advice, but it wont make the fight that much easier.
another trick is necessary to make the shield style work well.
After struggling for a while with the Bolt of Gransax and Haligtree Greatchield, I swapped into the Black Steel Greatshield and Blood infused Heretic's Fork with Blood Tax.

Down in one go, not even hard that time.

He has tons of health, deals tons of damage and he's almost half as fast as John Petrucci. But his attacks deal pretty meagre stamina damage, especially his rapid combos. You can get a few shield pokes in and still have enough stamina to outlast his combo and recover for the next.

No idea how you beat him without a shield.

... which shadow attack? how the balls did the disc not manage to reach you after his end lag and Promised Consort 5-hit initial posing?
i've never seen this scenario as a melee nor mage, but the safest place is being right next to the boss and dodging towards him at a slight leftway angle

Copies of his shadow in gold hitting you one after another.
