PLEASE DO NOT ADD ANY KIND OF GAMEPLAY ACCESSIBILITY OPTION TO ANY OF FROMSOFTS GAMES
just because something unfortunate happened to you that doesn't mean you have to right to protests your unfortunate restraints on others who can play the game as intended.

You dont get to have your cake and eat it also, life doesn't work that way. Its the reason why we dont have specially made roads for the blind. We tell them not to drive. If you cant play ER because of something that happened to you, well, sucks but thats not enough for me to care enough to want one of my favorite games to be downgraded in terms of difficulty.

Life isn't fair and we really need to stop babying the entire world and trying to baby-proof everything.

Im legit sorry for anyone whos going through anything that keeps them from playing this game regardless if its your health or if its because youre a single parent who doesn't have the time to "get gud" HOWEVER its not my problem and your restraints should not have to burden me and IT SHOULD NOT.

btw idc how this makes me sound. Life isn't fair and we already have enough people who lie about beating/playing games and all this would do is help dishonest people cheat their way onto different message boards with claims of "ER is easy i beat it in three days" when all they did was play on accessibility mode, with mods while using an app to unlock every achievement in the game. The lack of integrity in the PC gaming space is quite profound and ER/DS is one of the last beacons of what gaming felt like back in 2006-2007 when achievements/beating a game felt like it meant something.


EDIT : THIS POST IS NO WAY MAKING FUN/BULLYING ANY SET GROUP OF ANY TYPE OF HUMAN BEING FROM PLAYING ANY AND ALL VIDEO GAMES. ANY REPORTS ARE GRIEF REPORTS SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY DISAGREE WITH MY OPINION.

EDIT : 2 I honestly thought this would have been deleted over grief reporting but im honestly glad to see my opinion is still here. You dont have to agree with what im saying and i can even be made to change my views HOWEVER attacking me personally or saying irrelevant statements doesn't help you or the people you claim to be defending's point of view.

EDIT : 3 I was banned for calling someone a teenager/child. For anyone wondering. And i still stand by what i said and what ive been saying. Still no decent argument made that will change my mind. AND I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT COLOR BLIND PEOPLE SO STOP REACHING. ty :)

There's no way you could feel compelled to write something like this while also having a fulfilling life. I can only imagine how miserable you are on a day to day basis.

A pause button would quite literally kill the entire game. Everything about the game design is designed around the ground breaking idea of not having one.

Im not talking about a pause button (especially one that doesn't let you pause during boss fights)

I don't think you actually know what accessibility options are if you think that their inclusion would downgrade the experience. Accessibility options would be things like audio or video options that allow those who are audibly or visually impaired in some way to still be able to play the game effectively.

And yet being able to pause would be an accessibility feature. Maybe you just starting raging instantly instead of thinking about the subject for more than 1 second?

TL:DR, OP thinks certain people should not be allowed to play games if they need some sort of alternate visual display or control scheme in order to participate.

I still don't understand why everyone is against an easy mode, just like the ashes no one is forcing you to use it. If there was a story mode I would 100% play it, and if I was up for it I'd choose the normal mode after.

I play every Halo game on Easy first to understand the game and have fun. Then I go straight to Legendary.

How might it matter or affect you that other people could enjoy the game besides you? Don't you think this is a text expressing a rather selfish idea on your part? I can tell you many other games that have a difficulty selector and possess a harder mode than any Fromsoftware game ever made.

I don't think the upgrade you need is precisely in a video game.

Accessibility to me always felt like something more akin to Colour Blind mode to help people see the game better. There's different colours people can't see so some games have different types to help them.

Chances are a lot of people would just straight up bully the easy mode players even worse than spirit ashes. Knowing fromsoft as well they'd lock achievements to normal mode and do something like unable to change difficulty mid playthrough. It's probably a good thing they just leave it as it is and let players decide by in game actions with items and consumables if they want an easier or harder time

too late.
elden ring already has a plethora of them in the form of spirit summons, npc summons, being able to leave a boss and go exploring for many hours level up and upgrade your gear to make the boss easier ect ect

do i care? no. no i don't. couldn't care less if someone uses multiple summons and sits back spamming spells to kill a boss.

ill play how i want (hard and un-optimal to add more challenge lol) others can play how they want.
