Just got off the phone with Hideo Miyazaki...

And he says even if you used summons, spells, weapon spells, spells, thrown pots, bows, melee, and or shields you beat the game. Can you believe that the creator of the game series doesn't care what you used to beat the game! Down with the gatekeepers!

Pfft. Everyone knows you didn’t beat the game, unless you’ve severed your dominant limb, played the game on windows 95, used a dial up connection, and were blind folded.

According to Article 66, of the Git Gud convention, if you didnt beat the game with fists only, lvl 1, you a casual, and didnt beat the game.

I think if its your 1st time trying to beat the game is reasonable for you to use summons and all aids in the world. if u want to make run harder once u know mech more or less than of course using summons make it much much easier. tbh who care its a solo open world game . play like u want.
where do you push . do you not put any points into vigor . do you even use stats, do you use swords , magic is cheat according to alot of people . there is no stopping .
some people would say go level 1 with no leveling up . its really up to how u want to make your run hard. tbh no one care haha it wont make you smarter richer or better person by doing it. do it if u want to beat game harder than average player

Yeah there is even a new category of challenge runs. Its called everything%
so If you kill a boss not using everything you have to start over.

As a 38 year old man who has never touched a girl has colored my hair 14 times and has 6 face piercings a long beard and showers at least once a week. I can confirm that if you dont beat elden ring shadow of the erdtree solo, with keyboard and mouse on a 10k+ PC with glowing keyboard/mouse/headphones and ONLY use a katanna with light to no armor. You have not technically beaten the game. Im off to try a no vigor play through.
