Hacker ruined my save. Anyway to contact support?
While I was in Liurnia on NG+, someone invaded my world, disappeared, then killed Maliketh. I received the Maliketh gear and was teleported to Ashen Capital and then immediately to the round table hold which was on fire.

I had not yet killed the fire giant on this playthrough and when I go to where the giant should be, he is not there. Also, there is no dialogue when I sit at the Fire Giant Bonfire. Unfortunately, the most recent steam cloudsave is after this event.

I have played hundreds of hours on this character and really don't want to have to retire him because I can not move into additional playthroughs.

Is there anyway to get into contact with Bamco or Fromsoft about this? They should definitely address these issues. If not for me, then for future players.

Any advice is appreciated.

I dont think they can do much im afraid.

Its usually recommended to make a back up save regularly to avoid this.

You could use a mod to make a new character from scratch with the items and levels you had, and just speedrun the main bosses and quests you had.

This is why I always backup my saves. Doing pvp or even co-op is risky, since a hacker can brick your save just like that.

This happened to me a couple days ago, the only solution I found was to start a new ng+ journey on the character.

The cause in my case was a bloody finger that invaded, by the name of "God". Shortly after this hacker joined, I received a half dozen armor sets and loaded up in the Ashen Capital.

After loading up in the Ashen Capital and before beginning a new ng+ journey, any time I tried to do multi-player it gave me "inappropriate activity detected". I strongly suggest avoiding multi-player until you begin a new game (thusly reseting the corrupted world)

There's also backup saves in your save folder but I don't know if you already overridden it.

Isn't it wild that we have to deal with an anti cheat that bricks the performance and an "inapropriate behavior" bug plaguing the dlc and still things like that are possible?

I had someone do this to me yestarday, I was in the capital outskirts and got invaded. The dude skipped me to ashen capital and i had the souls of maliketh and Dragonlord when ive never been there. I checked my backup by he altered the backup somehow to the same spot and im so crestfallen. 60ish hours is all gone.

Are you people getting hacked running Seamless with invasions on? Reports keep piling up, if this is not constant trolling and these people are on unmodded game, we may be getting in trouble. Backup your saves before this is clear. I see hackers daily in DS3, but never saw anything remotely resembling a hack in Elden Ring.

Time to do some refreshes on Malcolm Reynolds channel to see if there's juicy content being uploaded soon. :steammocking:

this literally happened to me just now in base game. summoned someone to fight morgott and all of the sudden maliketh is dead and im in ashen capital. nothing i can do. No seamless, no mods.

There were a few cheaters shortly after the base game's release, but it didn't really pick up again until last year.
