You can easly find matches, so yeah - it's active. Steam have ~2,5k players online per day. Add to this non-steam players so I think we can reach over 5k players. Just update punkbuster(anti-cheat) because I heard steam version have outdated one.

It's truly active although it's already 2025 there are many european server still working. If you love bf3,you will get the same excellent experience in bf4.As a player who only played bfv and bf1,It is really surprising for me to learn old style of bf series.

Get BF3, then you can get the (some town name in Italy) Unleashed mod that removes the predatory grinding, adds support for higher tickrate servers, and modded servers.
