sad.
The sad reality is regardless if the game is good or bad, a game with no advertisement ends up nowhere. Obviously game development is also important, but you don't reach 0 players online for 7 straight hours for no reason.
It is sad really. Some of those devs probably spent hours making the game and it is officially dead now. All that could save it now is closing it, repackaging it, take the feedback from the community and make it better. Then relaunch it with new options and/or features and an updated name. You wrap it all up with a lot of social promotions to keep it going.
The potential is there, only if they are willing to put the effort into it.
Devs are reworking it. See their last post to the community. Game designs take months, sometimes years, so we will have to wait and see what happens next
Last post was in May, the game is dead, lol.
Don't miss quote people, its not professional. This is what they said....
"Today, I have to tell you sad news.
We designed Heroes Showdown as a game that is immune from luck and tried to show you Autobattler with unique features.
Until CBT, we thought we managed it.
However, after reviewing all of your comments during Early Access, we reached a conclusion that
Heroes Showdown is not ready to be shared with you yet.
There have been many feedbacks, including unfair system and low-quality UI.
We realized we should have waited until we set everything completely.
So, we decided that we need time to reforge Heroes Showdown from the very beginning."
The key sentence is that last phrase "... reforge Heroes Showdown from the very beginning"
Games are not made within months but years, even the crappiest game takes almost a year to complete and your argument is because you didn't hear anything for 5 months?
There is a huge difference between "dead" and being "rebuilt". The team has put in the work but didn't see the fruits of their labor pay off. Compassion is the least you can show for the team for trying to make something great.
For now, the game is on standby/hiatus.
Oh? You're one of their developers?
I didn't think so.
