If you are a fan of Hades and or Slay the spire and other similar games I strongly recommend this game as it is a perfect blend of both, mainly taking it's narrative progression over death system from the former, and some of its deckbuilding mechanics from the other.

I say some of its mechanics because what you quickly realize that this game has SO MUCH content. 3 heroes with variations each, every single one of them fun in its own way and with a different story! The game does a really good job at organically walking the play through its gameplay by slowly increasing the difficulty and complexity of the game, both through increasingly difficult encounters that you will learn how to master but also through radically different starting decks, a total of 12!

I really appreciated the items system coupled to the usual roguelike deckbuilder system as it adds one layer of complexity and provides a lot o gameplay styles dependent on what the game gives you, amplifying both the variations you could get with the cards choice and items systems alike.

Additionally, this game provides players with a well written story about a group of 3 warriors who met their demise in the hands of someone they considered their friend and are continuously brought back to life by a mysterious godlike (or demonlike?) entity who seeks to help them find revenge, or closure.As if all the gameplay was not complex enough, your pathing on the map and your narrative choices will make will influence the ending! Yet, reaching said endings will truly grind your gears as it is not as straight forward as it would be in many similar games.

All the main dialogue is delivered while you experience every single node on the map for the first time with each character, truly making the experience of traversing the same map a novel one almost every time, with beautifully voice acted dialogues.

ANYWAY, I wrote too much already but I really want to congratulate the devs for pulling out such a gem of a game as their first one under this studio name! Only piece of criticism that one might find to this game is the static map I guess or the fact that early on some cards are literally copy/pasted from slay the spire, but honestly none are really a problem.

super unique take on a roguelike in my opinion. I like how there are multiple characters with unique sub classes that offer a ton of cool new combinations. great story arc for each character and the boss fights are challenging. I cant beat it on normal yet and have had 20 plus play throughs
