Playable with the Steam Deck?
I have my Steam Deck connected to my TV and play with two PS4 controllers.

Is this game completely playable without a keyboard? I'm worried that the EA Launcher can't be operated with controllers. I don't want to have to get up every time I launch the game and disconnect the Steam Deck from the TV just to click something.

Do you have any other couch co-op games for kids that you can recommend?

My setups the same as i only ever played my deck on TV, never in my hand. Easiest thing to do is have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse kicking around for those annoying clicks that now and again need to be done.
Im literally installing this game now so i cant answer your original question yet but defo try out: It Takes Two.
The Moving Out games are another good one to look into, but for more choice of couch co ops i use switch emulators as the switch has some really class co ops that ive played time and again with the missus and kids.
