There are numerous contradicting theories about why this game was abandoned. What are the real facts and who has them?

The character models and customization in this are fantastic. My favourite part of the game is that there are no males anywhere to be seen. Seems like ALL games in the NSFW category have males in them (if not tentacles or worse). I'm looking for NSFW games where you can choose to ONLY interact with females. Kalyskha has a toggle where you can choose to only romance one gender (or both). So I'm looking for that, at minimum.
