if you like Animal Crossing, You'll LOVE this game!

what a game. Rockstar will never make another game like this or its sequel. Manhunt is an ode to 90's gaming when developers were tired of games that were catered to children and not adults. Rockstar dropped this gem in 2004 and even some team members were not thrilled about working on this game. Either way we have a piece of gaming history that we will never be able to replicate again without causing even more controversy than it did back in 2004. If you do wanna try out Manhunt then before playing you MUST install Manhunt Fixer patch online which will fix soooooo many issues with the base pc game. Enjoy and happy hunting <3

This game is completely broken on modern systems. The only way to fix it is to download unofficial third party mods from outside of Steam. Therefore, I can't recommend it unless you are still running Windows XP. Supposedly it works on XP. However, even if you get the game running, the PC controls are very bad. This game was clearly designed for a controller.

Fortunately I also own this game on console, so I could just replay it that way. Still, I must say that this game really doesn't hold up to the expectations of a modern gamer. I enjoyed it many years ago when I played it on the PS2, but modern stealth games have advanced so far beyond these mechanics that playing this game now just feels clunky and annoying. The camera controls in particular a terrible, even on console. I still appreciate the game's visual style, world, plot, and awesome executions, but the gameplay just doesn't hold up to modern standards.

Overall, I say pass on this one. Even if you find unofficial patches to get it working, the game just isn't that great by modern standards. You are better off just watching a playthrough of it online to appreciate the other aspects while letting that person deal with the clunky gameplay.
