How to not openly take Piero's side?

I want to get the Good Graces achievement but it never works because every dialogue option during the murder scene makes the abbot think I'm against his decision that Pietro is guilty. Is there a certain background choice I need so I can get a new dialogue option? Any help is appreciated.

To be in the abbot's good graces, do not engage the Baron in conversation at dinner and do not investigate the church and covent after the murder (especially Ferenc). Only investigate the villagers.
During the murder scene, choose the dialogue options that are the least against the abbot (do not object too much and don't call him absurd or ridiculous).
In general during the game, be in favor of everything the abbot says and does.
