The Jews from Prague
As a Historian I enjoyed this game with all its modernism and flaws, because it has great atmosphere, some teaching elements that give basic information to players who are not into history, and the music as well as graphics are very creative.

I only got one thing I cannot get over, and that is the Jews from Prague, Benjamin and Rachel. They are shown as decent people, which is but just and fine. But them being accepted as honorary guests, befriended with and treated as equals, Jews and Christians eating together from the same table... is faking history.

The Sommerfeld family should not BE there in the first place. And neither do they wear the Yellow Ring, a mandatory and highly discriminating patch on their outerwear. Honestly I was waiting fo some dialogue, like how they got attacked and then defended by the Druckers, but the game took jewish-christian relations as all gaudy...

The game is set in 1525. By law, Jews already had been banned from all of Bavaria for decades. While this did not include imperial cities, seigneuries and ecclesiastic territories, Tassing is none of that... Its property of a "landständisches" abbey, with the duke as worldly overlord.

Tassing also harbors folk paganism and the peasants are quite hateful toward the abbey and the Baron. Perhaps they did not heed the rulings.

Also, Prague is a big city near the border with Ottoman Empire and Cossacks Lands. The Jews here might be enjoying more toleration, just like actuality in Holland at the same era, due to requirements of trade.

They are printers, a business of importance held by affluent people, considering the rarity at that time. Perhaps they are suppliers to the Druckers, and considered benefactor to Tassing.

Please allow me to disagree: Prague never was "close to the Ottoman border". It used to be the capital of the HRE for a while and was under tight Habsburg rule, them known for anti-judaism as well.

But thats not my point. They could not have been suppliers to the Druckers, because Jews were banned to ENTER, TRAVEL AROUND, HAVE BUSINESS CONTACT with Bavarians.

The game whitewashes history, and to be honest it makes little difference if they were depicted as Christian. Its weird, and "woke", to include ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and Jews as if they were accepted by society.

I also thought that narrative segment was quite awkward. It could've been handled more realistically, but the writers chose to distort history and insert their woke narrative.
