Don't get me wrong, I mostly like this game, and will like it even more once I get my proper controllers mapped, but if you think this is the "BEST" excavator game, you probably haven't tried Demolition Pro Online. While it doesn't have all the different equipment and scenarios that D&B3 has, and is completely different type of game, as far as the excavator part goes, DPO can't be beat (IMHO)
There is of course D&B 18. Which has a TON of jobs, more vehicles and plenty of sideline work. I love the remote controlled mini jackhammer/lifter vehicle. Who thought that up deserves a medal!
And of course *explosives* and same demolition physics
does everything feel pretty much the same as D&B3? I'm looking for more!
No. It’s an open map(s) you drive anywhere and find random jobs as well as having contracts.
You find abandoned cars that you can smash and use a crane to remove the engine and all the body panels. Load into a dumper and take to the scrap merchant. There’s also gold deposits to be found,
Money to be made from buying businesses , parking lots and collecting rent.
Random missions come up - like boulders blocking a road. Get there in time and clear it for a bonus
I think there’s about 13/14 vehicles in total.
You hose down (dampen) building before demolishing them to cut down dust (otherwise you get charged a cleanup) once you reach the desire demo goal, you can continue demolishing and get paid for each tile/brick etc you continue to demolish.
You also have to sit ‘licenses tests’ for each vehicle you buy prior to using them.
You can also utilise a ‘taxi’ to sites you’ve not been to or drive there in your pickup. Once you’ve been to a connection then you can teleport.
You can refuel all vehicles (teleport with the ‘P’ parking signs) at garages or pay slightly more on site. You can also repair your vehicles (buildings bricks etc will damage parts if your too boisterous) use a spanner - t’s that simple
Anyway, it (was) on sale for a pittance. I would grab it. It’s the same devs anyway
