Think I am done.

There are a small handful of achievements I don't think I can reach, level 25 without mastery is tough! I would say impossible except some people seem to have reached it.
I got over fifty hours of fun though, so no complaints, good game.
It wouldn't take much to bring me back I din't think, larger maps woulds be a great start. I rather hope the game designer is working on a sequel, good TD games are hard to find these days.

I guess when you are creative, you want to do something new, but I really wish more designers would make actual successors, instead of spiritual ones that have nothing to do with the one I liked. There seems to be so much that could be done with Core Defense II.

Thanks for this, Helix. I am enjoying this game based solely on your recommendation. I like this concept and it's a shame that it won't be continued.

Currently I spend most my time working on Blacken Slash, the spritiual successor to Core Defense: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1746560/Blacken_Slash/

And Core Defense 2 with better graphics, better and bigger levels is something I definitely consider making in the future.

Thanks for this, Helix. I am enjoying this game based solely on your recommendation. I like this concept and it's a shame that it won't be continued.

I agree. I would wishlist Core Defense II. The dev was so responsive to bug reports and feature requests I was looking forward to his next game. The description of Blacken Slash, however, is of a game with no appeal to me.
