For my review I selected positive, but my opinion is neutral. This VN is not serious in the slightest and if you are expecting a logical plot then this game is not for you (the plot is perfectly understandable just not logical in the slightest). Also, this game is entirely linear with only one insignificant choice you can make in the game. If you are interested in this game though, it's a short VN which is pretty high quality (in my opinion); Marco & The Galaxy Dragon is an extremely creative game, it has 1000+ CGs, and is unlike any other game. I personally don't recommend it, but if you're a fan of not so serious Visual Novels it's probably a game you'll enjoy playing.

Marco & The Galaxy Dragon / 10

Marco...wow. I loved this.

Boiled down Marco and the Galaxy Dragon is an all-ages story about friendship, hope, and love - while surrounded by concentrated insanity. And yet it all actually makes sense in the end. This is maybe the only visual novel that I've read that has made me laugh, ask what the hell is going on, and made me cry all within a few hours. So much yet so little went on through the story that I can't even accurately describe it without sounding nuts.

Into the boring nitty gritty. This has incredibly high production value. There are multiple animated scenes, multiple voiced songs, and an absolute immense number of sprites and CGs throughout. There are even a few minigames including a bullet hell section. Minigames can be skipped so it doesn't really matter if you succeed or fail in them which is nice.

This visual novel genuinely kept me interested throughout its entirety and I regularly had no idea what was going to happen next. I could write an extremely long review breaking down the insanity and what was so awesome about it all. I could honestly go back and reread it right now and probably catch a ton I missed on the initial read. I'm actually listening to the soundtrack right now, it's high quality and gorgeous.

The only negatives I can even come up with that prevents it from a perfect score is it's so insane that at first it's hard to follow until you just surrender to the insanity. The first part before the OP is also a bit slow as it introduces most of the cast. There's also clearly some content that isn't completely explained and you have to sit and think about it a bit to figure it out. I'm unsure if that's because of cut content to keep it at a short runtime or save costs, or rushed because of a release date.

Even with that said I can't recommend Marco enough. I'd recommend it to every fan of the genre. The only people I don't think would enjoy this may be those who don't get off the wall humor or who may get annoyed at quick changes in story direction.
