Bots?
My internet connection is spotty and I saw this game does have bot support. I wanted to know if they were decent and fun to play against. thanks.

They're pretty stupid. But they're better than nothing.

They aren't very good at driving tanks but yes better than nothing

Some maps they're pretty decent, but others their way points or general skills just suck. Good for target practice, but the higher their skills the more deadly their shots are, accuracy-wise.

Oh they are useless on community maps as most don't bother to give them way points.

When maps are created with invisible flags to lead bots, they can do something.
If there is no flag to set way for bot, they are stuck at spaw.

Bots are not able to reload.
Bots out of ammo are not qualified to stab you.

So all in all, I should probably pass on this game if I can't really rely commit to it as an online only product.
ah dam it was gonna buy for solo experience, not anymore.

I only remember one map where I never wanted to play with bots because thet droped bombs in their own spawn. Leaving that one I found them not that bad.

The game came out in 2006 for multiplayer. The bots were available to practice your skills and get to know the maps. In it's day it was fun; but it was the fellow players who made it fun. With a little teamwork and communication you could rule the map. Even when you were being owned it was fun.

I'll never forget being on a large map among trees in a T-34 waiting for the Germans to attack. I was teamed up with a Russian clan, some of whom spoke a little English. It was surreal to hear them chat back and forth until finally some says "Tiger, West Field".

Later people began to edit the game and there were a number of cool maps with unique features and vehicles. Sadly those days are gone. So unless someone picks the game up and spends a LOT of time updating and cleaning up things, you are stuck with bots and the occasional visiting player on the default maps.

Cheers to {SHD}MacHeath for controlling flag points as a sniper on a tank map. And usually with the highest score as well. Well done!

Should check out the Darkest Hour mod. While RO itself is pretty dead these days, DH still has at least 1-2 full servers every day depending on time zone.
