Which version of the game would you advice for a classic car enthusiast, like me?
Since I am a classic car owner, in real life, I am very interested in the game for the classic car (i.e. build before 1990) part.
And I really don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about vessels, built after that time.

From what I've learned, 21 seems to be the better version of both, purely from any point of judgement, when it comes to gameplay, details, visuals and UI.

But how about the selection of classic cars?
If it's the better game, but I would get only a quarter of the available classic cars of the 18 version, I might think over it, a lot, before purchasing.

Any advice would be helpful.

PS: For your advice, just imagine I would be willing to buy any DLC necessary for improving my experience of that version.

All the classics from '18 DLC have been ported over to '21 DLC, and of course the in-game versions of the classics (minus the Petarded '60s DLC. Not missing out there.) The only DLCs that have yet to be ported over from '18 are the Bentley and Maserati DLCs, so those don't matter for your taste.

I'd go with '21, even though there are a few steps backward; namely, the parking garage aspect. Overall, '21 is the superior version. Some would disagree, so read up on that too if you're on the fence. I have many hours in both iterations. '21 all the way for me.

I kind of like the 'Parking Garage' changes in 2021. It's so much easier to move cars around in the 'Parking Garage' without having to bring them back n forth to the shop. Definitely a QoL improvement in my book. Only downside is fact you can't actually GO to the Parking Garage. I didn't care much about that though. Some liked it for taking photos. So, now we have a different place for seeing cars for photos. Meh... it works in my book.

The 21 version is a better version. The photo shops, paint, visuals, and more mechanical details. If 21 could get the mods 18 has, it would easily give you 1500 hours of gaming. There were at least 25 different Ferrari's, over 20 Lamborghini's, 15 cars from Australia, Chevell's, Impala's, Trans Ams, GTO's and early 30s cars. You could spend a few hours on some of these due to all the different versions. Because of the limited mods, the game isn't as fun as 18. If 18 had 21s Photo booths, and paint, I would of never bought 21.
