For someone who's a complete car/engine NOOB!?

I have been revisiting this game's Store page so many times... Been checking reviews, watching a few YouTube videos, couple of streams. There's something about the overall approach and formula of this game (combined with all the positive reviews) that really speaks to me, for some unclear reason.

The main reason why I'm being/feeling so hesitant to get this game though, is that I have NEVER EVER done ANYTHING mechanical in my life! Never been interested in ANYTHING within this realm of craftmanship! H*ll, I'm 43 and haven't even gotten started on my driving.

I'm just unsure whether I could get anywhere close to full enjoyment out of this game in the long run/approaching end-game without any prior knowledge/experience at all to lean on? Sure - CMS-21 seems real enough that I could surely learn A LOT along the way. But yeah, does a complete car/engine NOOB have a spot with this game or should I in all honesty avoid it, despite it tickling the corners of my interest (for some reason)?

TL;DR
Anyone else who's never barely even looked at a car/engine/tools gotten this game and had a great enjoyment from it? Been worth your time and money?

Honestly, I picked it up just cuz it seemed interesting enough to be an enjoyable waste of time. I actually was a mechanic and I have projects in my garages. But, my broken up old body nags at me too much to want to spend very much time in the real life garage. This game kind of brings back the enjoyment of turning a wrench but, without the busted knuckles and back ache of RL.

So, for me it makes sense... I already know what I'm doing. For someone with no clue about mechanics... it maybe another story. I figure if you actually want to learn a 'little' bit about it then, this maybe a good way to dive in. If you have no interest in car mechanics however, then just skip it. You won't actually learn to be a mechanic by playing this game cuz it doesn't go into enough details to compare to RL but, it can help you figure out your way around the basics of a car. You'll probably just need to frequent the forum a bit until you get the game figured out.
