Game side really. But, for a person that has no idea about being a mechanic, it can give you the basics... kind of help you understand a little about how things go together. It's too simplified to give you actual RL knowledge of being a mechanic though. In the game, you don't use a torque wrench to torque bolts properly. Also, doesn't have you torque / assemble in a 'correct' sequence like you would in RL. Hoses, electrical, and fluid lines are missing so, no help there... as well as gaskets and seals w/ exception of wheel bearing seals. So, yeah... might help a novice get an idea about mechanics but, that's it.

Edit: Check out "Wrench" also... if you're looking at games that give you a 'rough idea' of mechanical work.
