Best political game ever made could use more content though

This game is deeply flawed for four main reasons.

First, at its core it's really nothing but liberal, self-affirming nonsense. Every liberal policy in this game is positive and immediately improves some metric. You have universal health care, assault weapon bans, universal preschool... All of which just blindly improve whichever metric they are designed to with no bearing on reality. What do republicans have? Nothing, really. Whenever republicans pass anything, it's usually just to negate liberal policies. Cutting taxes has no impact on the economy at all, nor does it increase household income in the slightest. It's really just a good vs evil simulator, where the dems are the good guys trying to pass good policy whilst the villainous reps try to stop them. Oh but don't worry the dev gave us abortion bans...

Second, the default game settings make elections, particularly presidential elections, very predictable. Really, the game struggles to contemplate unexpected results in general. Having played the game for many hours, I've only seen the republicans win the popular vote once or twice. It was an AI actually. Even under the best conditions I wasn't able to accomplish the same result. Now maybe that's just a skill issue, but even only seeing the AI do it a handful of times over hours of gameplay is kind of ridiculous. Obviously republicans have issues winning the popular vote, but it shouldn't be nearly impossible. It's also impossible to win states like VA and MN as a rep. Beyond the difficulties in achieving certain results as a rep, the whole process is very dull. 8 years DEM, 8 years rep president almost every time without fail. I have seen a rep incumbent lose a few times. Elections themselves have no nuance to them. Either spam rallies or just drop a social security ad and let your enthusiasm sit at the top 90s for the whole election.

Third, partially due to reasons one and two, the player base is very liberal and extremely hostile whenever some expresses a conservative opinion or even just criticizes the game for being somewhat biased. It's impossible to have a normal conversation about it. The discord is extremely toxic for that reason.

Finally, the dev is just a self righteous, preachy libtard who will never finish this game. Instead of working on improving the game, they release an update where you can make votes in the senate weighted according to state population. The reason of course, according to the dev, is to educate us ignorant players on why the senate is inherently undemocratic. We're too stupid to understand how democracy should work so we need to be taught, obviously. Or how about instead of working on the game, they waste time publishing an article using this crappy game to (wrongly) predict the election. Trying to pass this self-affirming, divorced from reality dreamland simulator as a scientific tool capable of accurate prediction is laughable.

So in depth that if you're a newcomer, it will make your brain hurt, but in the best way for political nerds such as myself. **Exquisitely** designed, and just a blast to play. A tad bit easy on the lower difficulties, but it's good for starting players.
