I don't think there is a game like Plague Tale other than Last of Us. Especially with the exception of Plague Tale, there are almost no medieval themed story driven linear games.
Witcher 3 is a superb rpg. I love it and it was good time after A Plague Tale: Requeim.
Big map with cities, villages. A lot of missions and side quests. I can surely recommend this title to anyone who likes medieval themed games.
I had great 130 hours of relax :)

I love Witcher 3, it's one of my favorite games, but it has no similarity to Plague Tale except that it's medieval themed. Maybe their music is a little similar.

If you want Medieval done properly, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is one of the best games ever.
If you're looking for...

...female heroes:

-Tomb Raider games from 2013 and up

-The Horizon games

...time period:

-Kingdom Come: Deliverance (New game coming out soon)

...two siblings working together solving puzzles:

-Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (Remake)

-Life is Strange 2 (This one is very political, but it's the closest thing to having a story/choice driven game where an older sibling has to deal with the responsibility in taking care of a younger sibling who has extraordinary powers/abilities like Hugo.)

Also, Hogwarts Legacy has the voice actor of Hugo DeRune in it for one of the missions (Archie Bickle).

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice could be worth your time.

If you want a gripping tale of mentorship, heartbreak, and overcoming incredible odds, I would recommend the Walking Dead tell-tale games. Almost every season has an aspect to the story where an older protagonist is guiding a younger protagonist. The difference is you will be making a lot of the choices and affecting the game while you play. Other people already gave some decent recommendations, so I figured I would mention this.

I just finished my first play through for this game and I couldn't help wanting to go back for another play through of the Walking Dead games because of the great narrative like this game has.

TellTale and Quantic Dream games. Not exactly the same game typs but still games with a character and narrative focus. Like A Plague Tale those games do not have much "gameplay" aside from exploring little areas and solving puzzles. It´s more about characters, dialogues and story.

Specifically, what do you want to see thats similar to Plague Tale? That would help narrow down what to recommend. I can think of a few off the top of my head but don't want to falsely recommend something you may not want

If you wanna sneak around in history with story, then there are plenty of assassins creed games, circling around a nasty secret order, stretched out from Early Egypt all the way to late industrial age britain.

These games are really worth the blast if history is your game with fictional story and actual historical characters thrown in.

Personal favourites is Odyssey and Black Flag, and the Ezio stories with an ending video made that can be found on the net with ezio's final days. A truly fleshed out story.
