what kit do you have and what guns are you using ?

I used most of newbie gear + the best I can get from the Station with that Green Helmet

My weapon right now is Mosin and SKS with Scorpion.

the mosin nagent is used for pvp more then anything, it's really costly on ammo

you'll need a shot gun the TOz that you may have or may have not found would help till you get the pump shotgun off gorumet, that's the main trading hub of the outlands, as it can one shot baby boars with buckshot.

as the shot gun is the cheapest for ammo it's always a good idea to have one with ya

you'll need a vest if you haven't got one yet get one off the Station, that'll boot ya time lasting, the vest is a big deal as you won't get far out without.

lets see the swamps the sks is really good if you use HP ammo as it does heavy bleed, and the verlocks die fast to bleed well..

the VZ or Scorpion is the easy'est gun to mod in the game, and to top it off can use 20 round mags really handy, with a few mods you can up the fire rate too.


the akus isn't too bad for a next gun, but the ppsh is better as you can get drums that hold

71 or 72 rounds i forget how much off the top of my head, good for dogs and small to mid size beasts, and dogs.

now the dogs just outside when you leave for the 1st time Station, it;s also a job to kill them but they do more dmg then normal dogs VZ or shotty, or ppsh is the go to guns just do to ammo costs.


when you're in gorumet check the shop they have a better helmet too

side notes too you also need mask gp5 is a good mask if you can get it
and a Radiation Suit will come in handy

also also have your skill trees you can check i always go for carry and loot % more so then other stats

Was thinking about Grabbing AK or a new Shotgun, seem like a Big ol Shotty can still be very effective.

indeed if you're using 12 70 over 12 76 that pump can hold 9 over the normal 8,

12 76 does more dmg over 12 70 rounds

side note you can also farm buildings in the out land for mags as well, if you're lucky full guns too and gun kits

forgot to add you'll need a hunting knife too faster cut rate

and you'll never know what you'll need so keep as much as you can, besides boar skins, also reminds me too the swamp pays more for boar skins too.

If your are fairly new, i guess you can get uzi then mosberg? they are very good noobling weapons and fairly cheap to maintain/repair
