Having played Orta for years before playing this one, I'm pretty underwhelmed.

For some reason i always knew this name, despite never seeing this game ever, until i've launched it. None of the youtubers i watched ever showed it.

So. Gameplay-wise it's a stupid-arse short on-rails shooter with barely any agency. It suffers from all the problems of on-rail shooters, like stupid camera system, wonky controls failing to unmarry shooting and movement, weird hitboxes. You can shoot where you are aiming by pressing once, or hold the fire button to highlight enemies for seeking missiles. There's no auto-fire button and missiles are pretty slow and wonky. You can't rebind controls, so you either want to create a left-click-repeating macro, or be ready to send your mouse for warranty repairs, especially on higher difficulties. So just get a macro.


At the same time the setting and designs are fun. Especially the first level. The vague story of this vague world is kinda intriguing. Even if all you get is, "no time to explain take this gun" and then "note: Poochie survived on the way back to his home planet". After the final fight the big bad boss dragon just stops in it tracks, turns around stares you in the eyes, and just goes for a swim.

Well, it's a pretty cheap game on Steam, and it is a way to spend about an hour. The new achievements are mostly boring or bad. Finish the game, get a decent score, finish it again but on hard, finish it again but using auto-shoot macro. Test the cheats you are giving for finishing the games. And i saw people saying that those can help you with harder achievements. Or you can play on hard with auto-clicker. And then there's an amazing achievement to idle in a 1-hour long game for 100 hours. The art of coming up with good achievements is hard, so most lazy devs  just slap some grindy nonsense together.
