It breaks my heart to write this. Legend of Mana is my favorite game of all time. I absolutely adore it. And this remaster has destroyed it. It's incredibly buggy and unstable to the point of being unplayable. I really hope they will fix this and release an update, but from other reviews it seems it's been broken a long time so I'm not getting my hopes up.

THIS GAME IS 100% NOSTALGIA FOR ME. I first played this game by renting multiple times from Blockbuster, unfortunately I never beat it. I would by it later and notice I never deleted my save data off my PSone memory card so I beat the last few missions. now I get to experience this game again. The music is great and reminds me of Neir before Neir existed. There is a lot of comedy in this game, so much so that it does take away from the serious nature of the heavy mission before it you just finished. The world is very unique. It was an early RPG that supported and still supports 2 player co-op(and an arena if you want PvP). there's missions you can fail or miss you do them out of order, or say the wrong thing. the cute-sie art style does belie the heavier and epic tones. Like PSone games of old the game sometimes does give you any clue of where to go making you a psuedo-detective. Overall very fun, especially if you let yourself be absorbed into the world.

My negative review is to bring visibility to this game not working on Steam Decks.

There are misleading posts and videos claiming otherwise (from people who've played for less than 2 minutes), but if you enter into combat, the game will freeze. Period.

The only solution is to delete all the audio files and play in silence. No thanks.

Hoping this gets fixed someday.

Loved this game when it first came out, very happy it was brought to steam
