That is not intended, we have a fix that has to go through testing so it should be in the next patch.
Not occasional for me happens every single time.
This is the 3rd time a crash has cost me dozens of hours of gameplay. It is obvious the devs did little testing and pushed the game out too early when it should have gone through early access. If it did, there is no way it would warrant the $30 price tag.
This game is too simple to tolerate being in its current state, and yet a full release. I want a refund.
Every rogue like should lose items just by dying.
The New Game + should continue in Act 5 continuously with all items and monsters receiving buff damage.
Did you try going to Profiles and loading your save? Selecting Continue is not the only way to load your save.
Yes, I did. And all options were changed to New Game + after the update. This may be a bug because of the stall after the ending cinematic that forced me to force quit. Going first to profiles, the only option was New Game +. The point of the post was that NG+ is compromised either because of or in addition to the ridiculous crashes between chapters, including the end game. Regardless of whether Continue or NG+ was chosen, the game still treated the profile as following a death, deleting my ship because this was "survival" mode. What was worse is that I had removed all equipment and inventory before starting the Chapter 5 gauntlet because of that 2-extra-slot blessing bug that deletes the last two items. This game is just too unstable to enjoy right now; devs just decided to push a BS new game + feature without really testing it.
I currently use AutoHotkey to get around the problem, but it's not the best of life, a specific setting for left-handed people would be enough.
