Way too tedious.

The tutorial not being skippable at all is painful even after the first time, you cant even rush it.

The RNG sucks and the fights feel rigged at times. Frequently I've had a really even fight for suddenly the AI to get a chain of heavy hits consistently out of no where to finish me off, and there is too much of a consistency around when it triggers to be entirely coincidental.

Combat is also heavily weighted the AI's direction and combat is very poorly explained, and significantly worse than the first game. If the same stats and techniques disproportionately fall the AI's then the fights aren't balanced or fair, the same numbers don't end up meaning the same thing for the player VS the AI.

AI advantage isn't necessarily an issue, but when the only solution is to literally completely out class your opponents and be levels ahead you are literally punching down. Fighting isn't about beating people that you are stronger or faster than, it's about fighting opponents that are a balanced challenge. This is never true in this game. It starts with excessively easy on the tutorial fight, and almost immediately jumps into fights on an entirely different league.

The tutorial fight actively misleads you about the way fighting works (even with the joke about it literally being an assume win tutorial fight).

All in all, I've played this game a lot and the fact that it's experience is almost antithetical to the enjoyment I had with the first game. I really loved the first game, its a huge disappointment to have the sequel feel like it misses all the things that made the first game fun and only focusing on the artificial aesthetic aspects that makes the juxtaposition of the two even more stark in the quality difference of mechanics.
