So. Will we get an update in the forseeable future or are we done here?

You know, these are two very different games and won't necessarily appeal to the same audiences. This is a strange choice, the only real similarities are the space themes.

They whiffed pretty hard by not giving us the option to create and share custom ships to dismantle.

Maybe that's the point? As the other comment mentioned, game is done. At this point anyone interested in these types of games has probably already played it or skipped over it, and it's not likely to get more people without big updates.

But, maybe some exposure to people in a different market that might still get hooked by "space", will catch a few eyes. Or maybe not, who knows.

Ultimately Hardspace: Shipbreaker was good to play and unique, despite falling short of its potential. The story was a bit painful and exacerbated with unskippable dialogue but you can power through it to complete another shift. It's a shame we didn't get bigger and more complex ships, and the greatest sin was no mod support and/or in-game ship designer. That may have kept the game alive with some passionate ship builders sharing their projects. Oh well. You can still get a lot out of the game despite this. Here's hoping that some kind of sequel with all the features we want surprises us one day.

This isn't a shipbreakers 2 or mod support announcement.

Given how bad the story was in Shipbreakers and how poorly you listened to the community, I’ll pass

Any chance we'll be able to skip dialog? It's been the most highly requested feature for years.

Is there going to be another game or DLC ever? This is a goldmine of an untapped genre but it is only being held back by mandatory story and no workshop/modding.
