The Rewinder ends up being most comparable to classic point and click adventures. It is quite puzzle heavy and the puzzles tend to be pattern or maths based. Most are fairly simple but a couple can leave you a little stumped (or googling how a Chinese abacus works). The standard of puzzle design is pretty high and I feel the game always gives enough clues that you should be able to work them out with some persistence and patience.

The story was the real highlight for me. A very unique setting and premise that grew on me the longer the game went on and some lovely smaller narrative threads weaved through-out as well as a healthy degree of player agency over that narrative that allows for some replayability.

Certainly a game I feel comfortable recommending providing you are into general point and click style games because honestly, whilst the presentation and game play may on the surface be a little different (nothing wrong with that, was refreshing to see something a bit different with-in this genre) that is what this is.
