How do party members work?
New player here. At character creation. I'm wondering how party members work in this game. I always hate when I pick a class only to find that the first party member you run across is the same class and ending up doubled up for a while.

You'll be able to gather a lot of followers in the game (definitely more than four your party consists of), so I wouldn't be too worried about doubling. It's worth mentioning that there's no such thing as multiclassing or changing the class of your character or your followers. The first act consists mostly of temporary characters, and in one case you'll be able to pick from two. You'll stay with Priest the longest, but I'm pretty sure you can get to a Keep quite quckly, where you'll be able to switch your followers. Hope that helps!

I really wish there was some way to make our own custom companions. Given how portraits work, it seems like there's no reason not to.
