At start up run task manager go to the maelstrom .exe file and Right mouse click. go to set affinity and disable all but CPU0-3. this will make the game start without crashing. This might just be a win10 thing/compatability, but I don't recall having this issue.... I constantly have to Alt-Tab to fix these odd freeze ups during "cutscenes" and loading. Didn't happen before, but this time around through campaign(fresh install), every map and every cutscene if the audio starts looping or the game seems to lock up, I have to Alt-Tab to get it to refresh itself....
