We're STILL working to bring the WFH Update to consoles as well. Unfortunately we failed a cert submission for the Switch, so we're currently resubmitting. PS4 and Xbox are underway as well but they're both faster. Once all three are ready, it'll come out. It should be this month!

The grind never ends! We've fixed some of the most critical issues with the Working From Home update!

• Fixed an issue where The Impostor could become invincible and also unable to damage Jackie, soft locking the run
  
• Fixed an exploit causing Team Player to make Jackie invincible while accompanied by certain invincible companions
  
• Prevented players from getting permanently stuck out of bounds in Cubicle Tower
  
• Fixed an issue where bringing Disaster Proof into Cubicle Tower as your pinned skill would break the game
  
• The Employee Kiosks in Fizzle now properly open the Resume again instead of the Rolodex
  
• Corrected a few typos in dialogue

All these fixes will be coming to consoles along with the Working From Home Update itself in a matter of weeks! Thanks for your patience, and happy interning!

What’s poppin bebs! We just launched the Working From Home update for Going Under. That’s right, it’s out RIGHT NOW! You can PLAY IT! (Coming to consoles ASAP, we promise!)

For this update, we wanted to address some of the biggest gaps we and the players saw in the gameplay, to make it a better experience for people playing for the first time, as well as add content to give experienced players something new to tackle.

To that end, the biggest feature in this update is IMPOSTOR MODE. A lot of players have been asking for the ability to play the dungeons one after the other in more of a “True Roguelike” setting, so we’re giving the people what they want! Not only can you challenge the game’s core 3 dungeons in a single run, you’ll get to banish a new final boss: The Impostor.

To unlock Impostor Mode, you’ll need to beat the game’s first 4 dungeons, and then encounter The Impostor in a normal dungeon run. We’ll let you figure out the rest ;)

Not only that, but there are 7 levels of Overtime, our scaling difficulty system similar to Slay the Spire’s Ascension. And they get STUPID hard. Even experienced interns will be at this one for quite a while.

Easily the most requested feature was the ability to play old dungeons that get locked off for plot reasons. We’re finally caving to public opinion and letting you play the original 3 dungeons whenever you want with the flick of a lever! No more grinding the insanely hard dungeons to get your mentorships finished.

We’ve also got the Rolodex, our game’s version of a bestiary. By picking up business cards in the dungeon and capturing enemies in them, you’ll be able to learn more about the game’s lore, or just read whatever stupid jokes Caelan felt like putting in there.

Feel like taking a break? Jackie now has a room to hang out in! You can change outfits (yes, there are OUTFITS!), listen to the songs you’ve heard in-game, and start Impostor Mode runs from the comfort of your own room.

Finally, there’s a whole bunch of new Skills, Curses, weapons, and secrets to discover in the existing game as well as Impostor Mode. There are now a total of 99 Skills in the game! Can you get them all?

We worked our butts off on this update, and we really hope you guys have fun with it. It couldn't have been done without the amazing community and the passion you guys have shown for the world of Going Under, so thank you!!! • Jackie’s Room can now be unlocked, allowing access to costume selection, an OST player, and the new gamemode: Impostor Mode.

ːJackie7ː The Bug Slaying Patch (v.1.0.4.5) is now live on Steam, and it’s only like, 3 weeks later than we told Discord it would be! The main point of this patch is, obviously, to fix the most critical bugs in the game, but we’ve also done quite a bit of balancing work, removed exploits, and even added a sneaky lil feature here and there. Turns out the QA team isn’t happy when you do that, though. Shout out to those folks for putting up with us.

All this stuff is coming to consoles in the upcoming weeks! Stay tuned.

• Added an option to turn off the jitter effect in the menus (This was meant to be in to begin with whoops)
  
• You can now control the menus with your controller’s D-pad
  
• There is now a menu option to change between holding the trigger & pressing it to toggle Focus
  
• Attempting to swap inventory slots while attacking or dodge rolling will now buffer the input and swap the weapon once the action ends
  
• “Attack Speed Up” buff now improves the reload time of projectile-type weapons
  
• Added an option to view the credits from the title menu
  
• The dialogue before founder boss fights will now be skipped if you already have their share.
  
• Added the option to invert the camera’s X-Axis control.
  
• Enemies should no longer spawn so close to the player when they first enter a new combat room.
  
• Screenshake algorithm has changed to have a smoother falloff and less intensity when smacking a bunch of environment objects. Try it out!

• Fixed an issue where force closing the game during Ray’s “app announcement scene” could prevent apps from unlocking for the rest of the game
  
• Prevented Eclaire from glitching into walls & floors
  
• Fixed issue where walking Eclaire or possessing a debt ball would cause you to teleport around when riding a vehicle.
  
• Fixed an issue where dollars wouldnt succ to Jackie if she was Downsized

• NPC’s names now appear properly in dialogue scenes
  
• Steam achievements relating to completing mentorships now work properly. If you’ve already reached level 4 with a mentor and failed to get their achievement, completing a dungeon run (or just entering a dungeon and abandoning) should grant you the achievement.
  
• Fixed an issue where using Ray’s max-level mentor bonus once would break it (and some other things) until the game was restarted
  
• The Hauntrepreneur’s “shop” will now correctly sometimes spawn a briefcase full of cash instead of an empty slot
  
• You can no longer chill on Swomp’s couch multiple times in the same run
  
• The Styxcoin boss's death explosion will no longer hurt the player
  
• You can no longer exit Avie’s room once entering it

• Companions now set themselves to either side of Jackie instead of right on top of her when entering new rooms, preventing an issue where you could be shoved into the void by your companions in certain dungeons
  
• Fixed an issue where only Forbidden Flavors would spawn once unlocked
  
• Fixed an issue where using Swomp's chill zone too much would break it permanently
  
• Fixed an issue where the hurtboxes of Hover Hands’ hands were inaccurate.
  
• Prevented an issue where completing a mentor level at the same time as getting the 3rd Share could soft lock game progress until restarted.

• Fixed an issue where picking up an app in a room that offered a choice between skills would despawn all the skills

Hey Interns!

Launch has been incredible and we've been overwhelmed by the positivity but we wanted to get this update for the two biggest issues out as quickly as possible! Hotfix 1.0.3.1 is now live.

Bug Fixes:

• Capped FPS at 60 by default, and set the maximum cap at 120. This should resolve the persistent crashes for the majority of users experiencing them, and will serve as a temporary fix until we can address the underlying issue and hopefully allow uncapped FPS again.
  
• Buying an object with Blood Money will not restock it when using Tappi's mentor bonus, preventing an infinite health & skill exploit.
  
• Fixed an issue where going down a slide while holding Debt could duplicate the Debt.

Balance Changes:

• Debt now drops when you dodge roll & encumbers your movement (although can still be swung fast) when using Upper Body Strength.

This bug hit a little too close to home

We're also still working on a bunch of other reports all you lovely people have submitted since launch! These updates are getting pushed much more rapidly to our Public Beta Branch. If you wanna help us test our bugfixes and new features before they go out for everyone, the steps for downloading the beta branch are:

1. right click the game on your Steam library and select "properties"
   
2. in the menu that opens, select the "betas" tab
   
3. pick "public_beta" from the dropdown and let the games begin
