New to the series. Would be Hard too much?
I wouldn't like a too forgiving experience, but I'm also wondering if Hard could be too much for a newcomer. I'd like it challenging but since I've read there's a time limit I'm not sure. What would you people recommend?

PS: Also, is there a way to quit the game without Alt+F4? Can't find the option.

Hmm. Hard can be a little challenging at times if you are new to the series, since stats dont work like most other RPGs.

A lot of your character's power comes from the items and equipment you make/enhance via Alchemy. If you like it more challenging, go for hard. Its not brutally hard or anything, but there will be some difficulty spikes here and there.

Hard is indeed pretty challenging. Played the entirety of the game on hard and there are quite several instances where the difficulty spikes quite massively (Mainly in boss battles) if you're not up to date with crafting better equips. However if you pick up the crafting system fast enough you should have no trouble getting past them.

Thanks  I ended up starting on Hard. Probably not going to be able to complete everything but I guess I'll leave any missed stuff for a second playthrough. Synthesis takes its time, I hope I can at least reach the end before the deadline.
