Otherwise I see no real point in buying an inferior version

I don't usually buy R18 games ANYWAY, but knowing that this trilogy used to be that way, I'm wondering how well they adapted the story to fit with any missing bits (pun intended).

Does one exist yet? I paid for a translation, not a rewrite. If you're just here to b*tch and complain then kindly f*ck off.

I don't speak, or read Japanese. Just your average neck-beard weeb who's picked up on a few words in his many hours of anime. Already five~ish minutes into the game, and I'm reading sentence that doesn't seem to match with what's being said in Japanese. It's not a big deal to me, but I'd like to know if these translations change the context of the original story in any significant way, or is the core of the story and the characters still intact?...

I'm asking to people who already played & finished both version (prelude to the fallen), how is it storywise? any changes in the story at all? I finally bought the bundles today thanks to steam sale since i loved the original anime that i watched many years ago!...
