its a direct port of the ps2 version which removed r18 content. Finding a copy of the r18 version from 19 years ago which was never localized makes it doubtful honestly.

This remake is the best version of the game. No version of the game has had any R18 content since the 2002 Japanese PC release. If you're just here for porn, you probably wouldn't have the patience to play through a >30 hour VN for a few minutes of R18 scenes, anyway.

Well there is a fansub version of the version for pc with the 18+ content as patch and even voice patch. Dunno how good the translation was since i played many years ago and never finished even XD"

To sum it up people who think censorship is great go on about "i'm right you're wrong" or "lol you just wana fap"
Where people who are agaisnt the censorship explain that removing the 18+ scene make the relationship between Hakuoro and his harem completly different. To wich uncultured people have still not make any point against.


The fantranslation of the 2002 version is near perfect, and way better than the translation of this game where they could'nt even translate the name of the protagonist proprely.

This game is worth buying if you love the series, but wait for a bigger discount.

Such a dumb take. Maybe we just appreciate the sex scenes as a way to highlight important parts of the story. Im about halfway through the game and the way the cut out the scenes feels very jarring once you get to them.

Genuinely curious, do you have any examples of parts that feel jarring? I could easily see 2 or 3 scenes escalating, more specifically
Touka being tricked into pinning down Hakuowlo, Karulau proposing her allegiance towards Hakuowlo and most of Camyu's night scenes. , none of them feel jarring to me personally though since what's in place feels in character and perfectly plausible.

Just wondering I'm missing that people feel the sex scenes add towards the storytelling (if any beyond personal preference.)

The reason it is jarring is because, the sex scenes in this game had a reason to be there, as Hakuoro was a lord with many women attracted to him, they all had a character to show from the sex scenes and a reason to offer themselves to him.
Eruru is about her deepest feelings for Hakuoro
Yuzuha is about her wishes and acceptance of death
Karura is about her conviction, is how i would word it
Touka is about her inferior and childish knowledge, despite her prowess
The white winged girl (forgot her name) is about her lack of strength, despite stating that she is mature
The black winged girl is about her strange personality and what lies behind it
Not trying to flame anyone with my "Opinion", but yes, the sex scenes had reason to be there, more than H-scenes for the sake of H-scenes.
i dont have the steam remake, but ive played the fan made translation so i can imagine how different the experience would be, then again, some people dont really mind cause apparently the character development is minor according to some, i personally think it needs to be there, cause they are all adults mind you, that kind of thing is normal among lords and concubines.
Also, it somewhat would effect your experience in the next games, cause you meet all of the girls again, and the conversations have connection in character to the earlier game.
