Instead of throwing my monitor across the room in a fit of blind rage, ill channel that into possibly making sure others dont suffer the same, frankly malicious, game design.

The final battle in the large room at Harper's Hell, you DO NOT get the sentry guns back after youre evacuated. And you arent given the opportunity to get them before leaving.
If like me, you also happened to discover that leaving the floor sentry guns are on, BREAKS them all, and requires a tool each to fix, this is beyond infuriating.
Dont leavge guns behind, and dont waste them on that mission. I put down 4 of them expecting a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and lost all 4 because of a scripted event.

I share your pain on that one. Pretty sure the auto-save, saves in that final room before you activate the terminal. Its how I got my sentries back...

what is the problem with losing your turrets, on the next drop bring more (5) whats the hardship.

Not sure. The game gives you 1 or two per level..

To avoid this big issue, a good tactic (Expecially if you run the game with the most difficulties turned on) is to deploy turrets only when ARC comes by the elevator.
There's a specific spot where you can cover most of the area, glasscannoning the whole DPS and exploit the ARC itself.

Start the mission with 4 sentries. The spot is the column right behind the ARC, little bit left. Deploy the first 4 sentries there, then (When Marlow starts talking) fast pick the other sentries in the room and deploy them in the same area.

When the second dialogue starts, pick the sentries while in pause (or rallenty)
You should be able to get back all 4 sentries in time and do the sequence without any effort \ risk ^^

guess he lost his sentries because they were too far from the evac point.
If he'll re-run the game with a fresh start, he'll could try this approach ^^
