Nothing says peak gaming like commanding an army of dinosaurs across the world, all the while some very angry short kings scribble my name into their little leather bound "mean people journal".

The game has grown massively since release - what started as a chaos flavoured spaghetti has turned into a full course feast of factions, campaigns and cinematic carnage.

10/10 would make the Book of Grudges a best-seller again!

Games pretty fun even for someone with 0 warhammer knowledge like myself. Only takes a small fortune to play it. No faction is completed with just the base game though so keep that in mind. There is an endless amount of content though and you can cherry pick the dlc for the factions you like on sale ideally. Seems like you need the other games to access a lot of the factions as well.

I spend 20 dollars each for a game to play with my brother, 40$ then I see there is DLCs so I just go ahead and drop 60$ so I can host and we share DLCs, then he joins and it tells me he cant join because he doesnt also own the DLCs. Not only that but I now also have to buy every previous iteration of the game for both myself and him in order to play together and have all our options.

I have spent less than 20 dollars for more interesting games with thousands of hours of content

Edit: game also crashed and now the launcher wont run

You have to buy all of the games and ALL the DLC (that costs heaps even when on sale) to have a fully usable roster.
Ridiculously scammy.

I'm sorry, but this is patch 185,000 and they still can't get the ai to not just completely bug out on sieges. The amount of times I've lost a siege because my troops refuse to reinforce through the gate and not try to climb up the magic ladders the enemy places is ridiculous. Added to of course the fact that they can just auto siege/attack at any point because of the magic ladders. Most of the time they never even break down the gates, they just hop over the wall and attack all the archers. The hastily built barricades in the city do more than the walls do to protect troops.

Absolutely fantastic game, but the extra money needed to get the full experience really holds back the potential of this game. I would recommend first picking a faction that seems cool to you and get the feel of them first and if you like them enough, get the DLC that unlocks the rest of the characters. That should last you about 100-150 hours of gameplay that's what happened to me, at least. I hope you have fun, but I recommend getting the game and DLC when they are on sale.
