This is planned and implemented already on my local development build -- purge zone is the default way to purge on mobile since start, and there will be an option to toggle this on PC build in the future. However we're designing for the upcoming DLC, and the changes are coupled with some major cleanup that we cannot afford to test at the moment, so it'll take a while to land. Sorry about that!
