My issues so far

I play with an xbox controller on pc. the first issue is that I can´t find the button assignment for the controller in the settings just the playstation controller and keyboard shows off. Second, I can´t start with the controller my game, I have to use the mouse to start the game. Third, my carracter sprite turns always to the right when attacking with the sword. I face to the left but the attack animation is to the right always.
Is there a solution to this issues so far? thx

Check all devices connected to your PC. Some of them are detected as joysticks, so the game doesn't understand from which it must register input.

hallo ShineBright, thx for this fast response but I got my mouse conected to the pc and disconnected the wacom tablet. There´s than mouse keyboard and controller. I plugged the controller to another port but no difference it makes. I started the game on the steamdeck the first time and didn´t tried it out on the deck since than. Maybe I check that later what happens there but it should be fine on the deck.

what can I do now to fix this problem. I need keyboard and mouse and the game does not detect the one controller plugged in? Maybe the game needs the original xbox controller?

The game detects any Xbox/XInput controller and Dualshock 4.
I don't know what a setup you have. Typically, this kind of problem occurs because of devices that detected as joysticks or third party software for joysticks.
