What determines Shiloh or Jeremy dating someone?

I know that Jeremy can be dating JB (from XOXO Droplets) in Step 3 and still be with her in Step 4. I've also heard that instead of getting together with Jeremy she can be dating Shiloh instead. What choices cause this/what do I need to do for these outcomes?

In Step 3, the situation is that JB has taken all the leads of that game out on dates. Shiloh is more lighthearted about it because Jeremy isn't JB's official, exclusive boyfriend. Whether she ends up in a serious relationship with Jeremy or Shiloh or neither in Step 4 is entirely random! There's no choices you can make to influence it. It's just a little for-fun thing that's unconnected to what's going on in your MC's life.

Thanks so much! I found both to be really cute Easter eggs so I was wondering if I had to do something in particular to get them haha. Love your games btw

It's completely random and can't be influenced, you can save scum if you don't like the outcome you get tho.
This is a good guide I followed to make saves for each outcome so I could see them all:
